- Santa Barbara Castle is the majestic guardian of Alicante, perched atop Mount Benacantil, a three-minute walk from the hotel. Its ancient walls keep the spirit of history alive and its many lookout points offer fascinating sunset views that will remain in your memory forever.
- Playa del Postiguet (650 m, 10 minutes on foot) is Alicante’s sunny coastline, where the soft golden sand meets the blue waves of the Mediterranean Sea. This wide urban beach is ideal for relaxing, sunbathing, enjoying the sea breeze and swimming in the warm waters. The cozy cafes nearby invite you to taste fresh seafood and refresh yourself with a cool drink after a day at the beach.
- Explanada (1 km, 15 minutes on foot) is the lively heart of Alicante, connecting the city’s port with the historic Parque de Canalejas. A wide avenue paved with stone mosaics stretches for half a kilometer, inviting leisurely strolls. On both sides of the roadway, slender palm trees create a welcoming, southern atmosphere, and at the end of the walkway are centuries-old ficus trees with intertwined trunks, living guardians of the city’s history. This is a place where the harmony of nature and architecture make every moment special.
- Marina de Alicante (1.2 km, 15 minutes walk) – is a picturesque harbor where white yachts, boats and cruise ships bob quietly on the waves, giving life to the seascape. From here you can embark on an unforgettable journey through the Mediterranean, either on a chartered yacht or on a boat excursion. Every day, boats set sail from this port, taking travelers to the enchanting island of Tabarca – a jewel of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a place where time seems to stand still, allowing you to enjoy nature at its purest, crystal clear turquoise waters and the narrow, charming streets of an ancient fishing village.
- The Ocean Race Museum (located in Porto Alicante, 1.6 km, 20 minutes walk from the hotel) is the only museum in the world dedicated to the most complex sailing regatta that starts in Alicante and lasts several months. It has been organized since 2005. Here, the history of sea travel comes to life and the interactive exhibits make you feel part of the great competition. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of ocean racing through The Ride simulator and virtual reality, and explore the famous Brasil 1 racing boat that took part in the regatta.
- The Cathedral of San Nicolas (less than 1 km, 15 minutes on foot) is Alicante’s majestic jewel, steeped in history and architectural sophistication. This Spanish Baroque cathedral stands in the center of the city, attracting visitors with its solemnity and peaceful atmosphere. Its dome is 45 meters high and its massive walls hold the secrets of centuries. Inside the cathedral you can contemplate a magnificent altar, elegant chapels and an old monastery courtyard, where time seems to stand still in the coolness of the stone and the whisper of history.
How to get there:
The airport is located 11 kilometers south of Alicante. From level +2 of the new airport terminal, the C-6 bus leaves for the city every 20 minutes during the day and every hour at night. The trip takes about 20 minutes.
You can take the C-6 bus at the airport and get off at the Vázquez de Mella – Estación de Tranvía stop. The hotel is 150 meters (two minutes walk) from the C-6 bus stop, at 3 Indalecio Prieto Street. To return to the airport, you must take the same C-6 bus at the same stop, as the bus makes a circular route.
TAXIS are waiting for passengers at ground level (P0) in the arrivals area of Alicante airport. The journey to the city center will take between 15 and 20 minutes and will cost from 25 euros. If you are brought to the airport by cab, you will be dropped off on level two (P2) of the departures area.
Transportation:
Alicante has a convenient public transportation system that includes buses, streetcars (TRAM) and cabs. Stops are located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel at a maximum distance of 300 meters.
Buses
City buses are the most affordable way to get around – a ticket costs 1.45 euros and a bus pass can save you a lot of money.
Streetcars (TRAM)
The TRAM light rail connects the center of Alicante with the beaches and neighboring towns and is a convenient option to travel to Benidorm, El Campello and San Juan.
Taxis
TAXIS can be picked up at parking lots or booked through an app.The average cost of a ride around the city starts at €10.
The main train station is located in the city center, two TRAM stops away. The main Spanish cities, such as Madrid, Seville or Barcelona, have daily train connections with Alicante. The average travel time from Alicante to Madrid by high-speed train is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
One of the best ways to travel short or long distance from Alicante is by bus. The Alicante bus station is located – near the port, the whole journey from your hotel will take you 20 minutes on bus number 23. Many bus companies depart from this bus station, connecting Alicante with different cities and regions of Spain.
